Museum assistant job vacancy

We are looking for a Museum Assistant on a fixed term basis to join the team at, one of the Lake Districts most popular attractions, The Lakeland Motor Museum, Backbarrow.

This is a seasonal / fixed term contract from April 2025 to November 2025.

Based in Backbarrow, you'll be the welcoming face for visitors, helping to create a memorable experience. This varied role includes retail work, ticket sales, providing visitor information, and assisting with the upkeep of motoring memorabilia and exhibits. As a key front-of-house team member, you'll take pride in delivering exceptional customer service.

We're looking for an individual with:

Strong communication skills
A passion for delivering great customer service
The ability to work well in a team and with the public
Experience handling cash, card payments, and issuing tickets
Basic computer skills
Flexibility, including weekend availability
