When are you open?
We are open everyday except Christmas Day. 9:30am – 5:30pm April to 1 November, 9:30am – 4:30pm at all other times.
Do you have car parking?
Yes, we have plenty of car parking, 2 mins walk from the museum and its all FREE for customers
How long does it take to visit?
We may be a small museum, but we have lots of exhibits. Most people typically spend 90 mins to 120 minutes in the museum
Can I bring a dog?
Yes, well-behaved dogs on a lead are welcome in all parts of the museum and in some areas of Café Ambio. They can visit for free and they don’t need to be booked in if booking online.
Do I need to book online?
No, you don’t need to book online and can just turn up on the day to get your tickets. If you do book online you are guaranteed entry if we get busy.
Can I bring a wheelchair?
Yes, all areas of the museum can be accessed by wheelchair. See our accessibility pages to help plan your day
Does my carer need to pay?
If an adult needs a carer, then the carer can accompany the adult for free
Do I need to pay to visit the shop or café?
No, the café and gift shop are free to visit – you don’t need a museum entrance ticket to visit.
Do you do a group discount?
If you are bringing 20 or more people, then you can qualify for our discounted group rate
Do you have a café?
Café Ambio is attached to our building. It’s a separate company to us and is free to enter.
