Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs: Drive It Day
We're sure to be welcoming many visitors on this year’s Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs National Drive It Day. The day sees thousands of classic car owners take to the roads and Lakeland Motor Museum with its large free car park (& great cakes in the café) is a popular spot.
National Drive It Day is when historic vehicle enthusiasts and the public at large have the opportunity to celebrate the One Thousand Mile Trial organised in 1900 to prove the viability of the new invention, the motor vehicle. It’s also a chance to raise awareness and support amongst the public for the historic vehicle movement and keeping transport heritage on UK roads. Find out more about it here > https://www.fbhvc.co.uk/drive-it-day
*Due to the nature of owners clubs and their journey to get to us, we cannot guarantee timings and the number of vehicles at the museum.
